So, to make a long story short we had to move out this past week while electricians rewired our entire house. Jason, Harper and I moved into an extended stay hotel (nothing says fun like living in a tiny hotel room with a 4 month baby and a husband with a cold) while Frank and Shirley went to the vet. We finally got to move back in Saturday afternoon, but there was quite a mess left for us. Jason and I have spent most of the weekend,
vacuuming, sweeping, mopping and dusting and this week we'll have to have
drywallers/painters come and finish the rest. Although it certainly was a pain, we're happy to be back in our (safer) home. Below are a few shots showing some of the destruction left by the electricians.
Starting out on a positive note: New fixture in the dining room (however, notice the small hole in the ceiling).

Guest bath. In the electricians' defense, this hole was actually left by the former homeowner who simply covered the hole up with a mirror. How helpful!
